Nam June Paik - Piano Piece, 1993
Piano Piece was created by Nam June Paik as a tribute to his close friend and mentor, avant-garde composer John Cage, who died in 1992. Paik met Cage in 1958 in Germany, a meeting that was crucial to Paik’s future role as the “father of video art.” [via]

3 months agoA friend of mine loaned me his 1934 L7 for a while. I still miss her. What? Yes, her. All guitars are female, especially Maybelle. OK, I name guitars. They’re all different, if they’re good guitars, and deserve names (the ‘34 was named after Maybelle Carter). Reading closely, I see that this L5 was $275, a FORTUNE in 1929.
